Rebecca Lazalier, MA, LPC, RPT

     Rebecca is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, relational and attachment difficulties.

   Rebecca has extensive experience counseling children and teens in multiple different settings providing her clients with a wide knowledge base.  Prior to working in private practice, Rebecca worked in several school settings as a school counselor. Her experience with the public school system gives her the ability to better advice parents, interact with school personnel, and aid in the IEP process.  She also worked several years at a non-for-profit organization providing in-home and in-school individual and family counseling for families and children in crisis. She has extensive experience counseling children with attachment disorders using Theraplay techniques to help support attachment between a caregiver and their child.  She has also been trained by Children's Advocacy Center (St. Louis trauma experts) using TFCBT (Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy), an evidence-based approach.

Rebecca received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She received her Master’s in Counseling from Covenant Seminary and her School Counseling Certification from Lindenwood University.

She currently takes Medicaid and other insurances.
