Celeste Daiber, M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC, RPT
Hi – and welcome!
Please let me introduce myself: I’m Ms. Celeste. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist. My private practice is operated under my company, Insight Professional Counseling, LLC. I hope to be of service to you or your child.
My private practice focus is currently to work with children and adolescents age 3 to 20 and adults that struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD. I have experience with mood and behavior disorders, anger management and school issues, sensory integration issues, divorce and family dissolution, DFS/CD involvement, social developmental and attachment issues, and work with individuals struggling with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder [AD/HD], Autism Spectrum Disorder [ASD], anxiety, depression, grief, loss, crisis and trauma. I have several years of experience providing individual therapy and with medication management for children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. My treatment modalities are primarily person-centered and solution-focused.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) and a graduate of the University of Missouri – St. Louis [UMSL]. I earned a Master degree in Education [M.Ed.] from the College of Education, Division of Counseling and Family Therapy (a CACREP accredited program) from UMSL in 2006. I am certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) . I completed the requirements for my Registered Play Therapist (RPT) certification conferred by the Association for Play Therapy (APT) in 2011.
I’m a member of the AMHCA [American Mental Health Counseling Association], MMHCA [Missouri Mental Health Counseling Association], APT [Association for Play Therapy] and EMDRIA [EMDR International Association].
In 2016 I trained to become an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. This treatment approach, which targets past experience, current triggers, and future potential challenges, results in the alleviation of presenting symptoms, a decrease or elimination of distress from the disturbing memory, improved view of the self, relief from bodily disturbance, and resolution of present and future anticipated triggers. EMDR is designated as an effective treatment by the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and many other international health agencies. This powerful psychotherapy approach has helped over an estimated two million people of all ages relieve many types of psychological distress.
I accept and am an in network service provider for several major private insurance providers including Anthem, United Healthcare, Beacon/Value Options, UMR, Tricare, Healthlink and Cigna.
I believe we all have the potential to be happy, healthy, successful, amazing human beings, and that everyone can discover their ‘best selves’ with support, education, and training. You are so much more than your fears or your past. I’d be honored to be a part of your journey to your ‘best self’.
